Project Overview
Concepts is developing a sustainable townhouse in Thun, the gateway to the Bernese Oberland. This townhouse will feature public uses at the base, office and commercial uses on the upper floors, and around 70 apartments as part of an extension in timber construction. To make this happen, we will partially deconstruct and convert the former Swisscom building, originally built in 1978 as a solid structure, and completely renovate it for re-rental. An official study contest together with the local authorities has been initiated to ensure the high architectural and urban planning quality of this transformation process.
We are responsible for the acquisition, initiation of the study contest, and project development. The project is expected to take approximately 30 months to complete, with a winter 2026 completion date. The new townhouse will be located in the most central location in Thun, providing a prime location for residents and commercial tenants alike.
